PRACTICE RUN BEFORE DAY ONE!

Hi all,
Having a FANTASTIC time.  Today we saw and drove our Ambis.... what an experience.  The people, the old cars, the animals - the cows!!!!  Tomorrow we start for real 200 kms up into the mountains, apparently cobras will be everywhere.  The car is like driving a wheelbarrow with less speed and comfort. lol but it is wonderful as the pace of the Ambassador chimes in with what is going on all around us.  photos on their way...

OMG - I'M HERE..

Two flights later and arrived perfectly well in Goa, south west India.   Everyone very friendly, weather hot and looking forward to getting our cars tomorrow.   Many thanks Trevor (Moreton HeightsTaxi and Chauffeur Service)  for so kindly taking us to Heathrow yesterday. 

I will be in touch with more tomorrow but to get an idea if you have never visited India - drivers, people, cows, dogs and chickens all share the roads here - it is manic...!  did I say I am looking forward to driving.... sort of!

Depart tomorrow

Hi there,

All packed and ready to go.  Have torch, sleeping bag and mosquito repellant - looking forward to getting to India.  I just have 11 hours on a plane first ......Will keep you posted..

Not long now... getting myself organised finally, its been so busy at work and only now thinking of what I need to pack, injections (?!!), money, haircut...

JUST GOT MY DATES...

The estimated time of departure from the hotel in Goa is November 3^rd at approximately 8am. I will, cross fingers and toes, arrive in the final hotel at around 4pm on November 12^th.
